2002 Emigre, Barossa Valley   

Fabulous texture with elegant yet subtle notes of crushed cherries, earth, blackberry, chocolate pepper and saddle leather. The tannins are almost melted as with the Exile and there is a superb backbone and lift to the wine before a long bright finish. A beautiful bouquet of cassis, blueberries, raspberry, violet, pepper, smoked meats and eucalyptus bring this wine alive! This wine will evolve beautifully in bottle over the next 10 or so years.
