2016 Altavigna 'Lo Scudiero' Taurasi, Campania, Italy
It falls within the classification of Taurasi DOCG, one of the most important in Irpinia, and as such it is produced with 100% Aglianico grapes.
The harvest period dates back to the first ten days of November, the fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature and the refinement lasts at least 36 months, after which the maturation in wood takes place: 12 months in French oak barriques.
At the sight it appears of a ruby red color.
The nose has a marked aromatic complexity, with hints of licorice, spicy notes and red fruits.
The taste is dry, with great structure and elegance, a beautiful expression of soft and very persistent tannins.
