2020 Hendry Malbec, Block 14, Napa Valley   

A wine with broad appeal. Inky, dark purple-blackberry color. Rich, deep plummy fruit and smoked meat aromatics, along with sweet cedar and coffee. More deep fruit, with bittersweet chocolate, on the palate. Medium-to-full-bodied. In the summer, this wine would be a natural with falling-off-the-bone ribs or cowboy rib-eyes. In the winter, a roast and herbed, crispy-roasted potatoes would be a handy pairing.
