2018 Caelesta Wines 'Denner Vineyard' Syrah, Paso Robles   

Booming aromas of black currant, violets and even black olive show on the strongly scented nose of this bottling from a new producer. The palate is loaded with thick and ripe black-plum and blackberry flavors, as tannins sneak up to give structure and touches of charred meat and violet lead into an acid-washed finish. -Matt Kettmann
