2021 Domaine Clavel 'Les Garrigues' Red Blend, Languedoc, France   

Les Garrigues is a radiant expression of the Languedoc hills, from vines on limestone soils, located on the foothills of the Larzac plateau. The climate is refreshed by north winds here, giving a red that has vitality and fragrant fruit. Mid ruby-purple, the 60% Grenache in the blend is immediately apparent on the nose, which bursts with ripe raspberry and strawberry aromas. 30% Syrah and 10% Carignan complete the mix, giving a full, supple, rounded palate, which has straightness and silky texture. The finish is harmonious and clean.
