If clearly youthful, the nose of this fine Cabernet is focused and varietally on point, as bright aromas of dark plum, black currant, dark cherry galette, cedar, coffee toffee, bay and tobacco leaf fan out. Fruit zest and tannic grip bring a decidedly food friendly feel to the palate, where those same flavors are both forthcoming and long-lingering. The lasting flavor impressions are of balanced intensity and youthful brightness, neither of which in anyway blunts the pleasure the wine already delivers. It will be terrific with any grilled meat and almost as fine with sauced preparations. Expect two more years of steady development.
